Thanks, Randy Pausch

Randy Pausch
Achieving Your Childhood Dreams

Rest in peace, Randy...you did it with great dignity, a sense of humour, and with an amazing message to the world.

My prayers go out to your family. They will be o.k. - you taught them how to love with their whole hearts, and that will carry them for many years until you meet again.

You seemed like a great guy - I think I would have enjoyed knowing you.

If anyone hasn't seen his "last" lecture, its worth taking the time to see it...

Wow, Betsy, I had never seen that lecture before, but I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to see it today.

I think that it really solidified many of the feelings that I had [or should I say did not have] at the diagnosis of Emma Sage. I know many people feel a 'loss' and grieve. Those feelings/emotions were never part of my process. I have always looked at things as Randy stated 'the cards you are dealt'....and have always looked at her 'difference' as a gift/blessing in my life.

Thank you for sharing this......this past week was filled with many profound emotions. An online friends son died unexpectedly and my sister and I spoke often about a birth that she was asked to be present at on Monday, of a little boy that was diagnosed inutero with a condition that was uncompatable with life outside the womb.......she chose to carry her baby to term [although she was counseled to terminate] and my sister, 34 members of his extended family were there to welcome into our world...to hold him and cherish the one hour they had with him. A glorious testament to 'dealing with the cards dealt'

You are a kindred friend Betsy and I thank you for sharing, as you always have a way of touching my heart and soul and expanding my mind.

Love you!
