"Normal...

is a setting on your dryer."

And a word I don't usually hear - especially when visiting CHEO with Paige. But, this week, we heard it! Paige's last surgery for skin grafts in her ears has worked, and her hearing test was....NORMAL. Pretty cool.

We were very happy to learn that her hearing is back on track, after nearly 6 years of iffy results, and not so good news about it.

Although not a huge fan of the world normal, in this case, I will take it!

But, please, let the record show, that my little girl is exceptional in all other areas...only her hearing is normal. Her smile...off the charts. Her blue eyes...breathtaking. Her laughter...it could end wars. The way she plops on my head, and says "momma" in the morning when I am still sound asleep....priceless. The number of lives she has touched...unimaginable. The love she inspires...immeasurable.

I know what you mean on the *normal* comments. Whenever someone makes this comment re: Ashlyn I always want to ask the question - tell me who the heck is normal and what is it? Ashlyn was supposed to be evaluated a few weeks ago but did not follow their rules or jump through hoops for them...instead she threw everything off the desk and inside I was smiling because they say our kids are *delayed*...but what makes me laugh is that she is smart enough to get out of your evaluation without being evaluated, ha ha ha ha!! Don't call my girl stupid or retarded cause she just got one over on you, he he!

That is great news and I sure hope you count me in a someone who has been touched by Paige!!! She is my dearest, sweetest little friend and, yes, I love her to pieces!!!
Emma's hearing test went super well (first time they actually get results). The results: one tube is out and the other is probably clogged. We're seeing handsome doctor Vaccani in six months. Emma needs a 5th set of tubes...
lol
